Sixth Indian Young Geotechnical Engineers Conference (6IYGEC-2017) to be held at NIT Trichy, during 10 – 11 March 2017. This conference provides a platform to the young practicing engineers, research scholars and post graduate students working in the field of geotechnical engineering, to share their practical knowledge, research findings and to receive suggestions from the fellow geotechnical experts.
Indian Geotechnical Conference (IGC) is the annual national flagship event of Indian Geotechnical Society (IGS, New Delhi, www.igs.org.in ). For the year 2021, it will be jointly hosted by the Indian Geotechnical Society, Trichy Chapter (www.igstrichy.org ) and National Institute of Technology Tiruchirappalli (www.nitt.edu).

The ISGHS 2024 symposium is being organized in celebration of the 75th anniversary of the Indian Geotechnical Society (IGS), in collaboration with the National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli, and the National Institute of Technology, Puducherry, under the auspices of the International Society of Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering (ISSMGE) Technical Committee (TC301). This event focuses on the geological and geotechnical challenges faced by India's rich heritage structures, which have endured for over 9,500 years due to advanced engineering and architectural designs. Notably, Tiruchirappalli, an ancient city in Tamil Nadu, boasts remarkable monuments like the Kallani Dam and the UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Thanjavur Brihadisvara temple. The symposium aims to address geohazard assessment for heritage structures and propose geotechnical investigations for their repair and rehabilitation.
