Prof. A. Murali Krishna is a faculty member at IIT Tirupati. He obtained his Ph. D from IISc Bangalore; M.Tech from IIT Kanpur and B.Tech from SVUniversity, Tirupati. His research interests include: Earthquake Geotechnics, Geosynthetics and Ground Improvement, Site characterization; Numerical and Physical modelling of geotechnical structures. He supervised 9 Doctoral students and 41 Masters students; co-authored nearly 220 publications of technical papers. He is a recipient of BRNS Young Scientist Research award, BOYSCAST fellowship and HERTAGE fellowship. Prof. Murali Krishna is currently serving as a IGS Executive Committee member and TC Member of ISSMGE. He served as an IGS ‘Executive Member’ for six terms (2011-2018, 2021-24), TC 203 member for several years and organised several national and international workshops and short courses, in particular in particular Indo-Korean Workshop in 2012, Indo-Japan Workshop in 2017, Indian Geotechnical Conference (IGC) 2017 at IIT Guwahati and DFII 2022 in Tirupati. He is a consultant for several projects as well as a reviewer for several national and international journals.
