IGS New Delhi established it 35th chapter at Ludhiana. It was inaugurated on 7 July 2012 by then IGS president Dr K S Rao at Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College Ludhiana. The Ludhiana is an industrial hub of Punjab, well known for the cycle and hosiery industry. It is well connected to the rest of India by Rail, Air and Road. Since its inception, the chapter had conducted numerous programs for the benefit of engineering community espacially dealing with the Geotechnical Engineering Practice & education. All events were well attended with participation from both Indian and foreign soil.
